ARoma Massage
Indulge in a blissful massage experience that can effectively ease away your stress and tension, while also allowing the therapeutic benefits of essential oils to be fully absorbed into your body.
Aroma massage is a unique form of massage that differs significantly from regular RMT massage in the way benefits are achieved. While regular RMT massage relies on muscular manipulation, Aroma massage evokes benefits through the use of essential oils and central nervous system stimulation along with lymph drainage.
To begin a session, the client will remove clothing, including socks and undergarments, and lie beneath a sheet. Throughout the session, the therapist will take great care to protect the dignity of the client by utilizing appropriate draping techniques that allow them to apply the oils without the client feeling exposed. Each session lasts approximately one hour, during which the therapist will carefully select oils based on the individual client’s needs.
Following treatment, clients often feel relaxed and invigorated. However, as aromatherapy is an excellent way of detoxifying the body, some clients may initially experience side effects during the detoxification process. These reactions can include headaches, nausea, dizziness, strange taste in the mouth, bad breath, increased perspiration, skin breakouts, loose bowels, fatigue, increased urination, rash, and mucous (such as with a cold). It’s important to note that these are normal reactions and will typically subside within a few days.

What to expect?
If you’re unfamiliar with the ARoma Massage, here are some things to expect;
Before Your Massage
Before arriving for the treatment it’s good to have an understanding of what to expect. During the course of treatment the therapist will be performing a facial massage so it’s important to remove any and all makeup before hand. It is also important to remember that the oils can take up to several hours to be fully absorbed, so it’s a good idea to make the appointment for a time when you can shower or bath the following day.
During Your Massage
It’s important to remember that when you are getting a treatment done that you relax. Allow the stress to melt away. If you don’t feel comfortable about anything, let your therapist know. If something doesn’t feel good, let your therapist know.
After Your Massage
After your treatment it is important to be drinking plenty of water. Part of the Aroma massage is the detoxification process. When you have these toxins released from the system, you need to flush them out. This is done by drinking lots of water and allowing that water to flush the toxins out of the body. It is also important, since aromatherapy relies on the essential oils, that you don’t bath or shower, preferably until the next day. It can take several hours to be completely absorbed.
